Frank Halter

Frank Halter was born in 1974, is married and has two children. He studied Business at the University of St. Gallen and at the University of Business Administration in Geneva, obtaining the academic degree lic.oec. After his studies he worked four years as scientific collaborator at the Center of Family Business and Succession in St. Gallen. Since October 2005 he is in charge of all programs of advanced training for the center of Family Business and Succession and is member of the management board of the University of St. Gallen. Besides, he founded the Center of Family Business and Succession at the University of St. Gallen he is also a member of the board of management of it. He finished his dissertation with the title “ Family Businesses in the Succession Process: The Emotion of the Entrepreneur” in 2009. His research interests are in the following areas: complexity and dynamic of family businesses, succession, life-cycle-oriented corporate governance, and entrepreneurship and academic entrepreneurship.
