Andreas Banholzer

Presently, I work as Director of the Lake Geneva Region Tourist Office. Before my appointment, I worked at the same organization as Project Manager for a big web site project, where I obtained special skills in the Web development, E-marketing and Web Site Architecture.
Parallel, I participated in the master program in Entrepreneurship (Innovation & Growth) at the School of Business Administration in Fribourg. I completed the master program in August 2010. My master thesis focused thereby on “Emerging business models and commercialization opportunities of Augmented Reality technologies”. In addition, I obtained a Bachelor degree in International Business & Languages at the Hogeschool Zeeland in the Netherlands as well as a degree in Tourism Management at the Swiss Tourism School in Sierre. I gained further professional experiences during 5 years as Director at the Tourism Board of the Canton of Uri, where my primary responsibilities were strongly focused on the realization and implementation of the Marketing- and Communication Strategy, Media Relations, Strategic Alliances- and Partnerships as well as on the development of an E-commerce Platform for Hotel- and Ticket Sales. Master thesis topic: "Emerging business models and commercialization opportunities of Augmented Reality Technologies – An Opportunity Recognition and Technology Strategy Process".
